Touching the upper right corner of the screen on the Galaxy S II using one hand, with its 4.27-inch screen, while you’re walking down the street looking at Google Maps, is extremely difficult and frustrating. I pulled out my iPhone 4 to do a quick test, and it turns out that when you hold the iPhone in your left hand and articulate your thumb, you can reach almost exactly to the other side of the screen.

each person photographed really prized and protected his or her polaroid (fearing that we wanted to keep it), and barely let us see it when it was developed! the children automatically stored it away once we showed them what was the very first picture of themselves. it was a really great and humbling experience and showed us how much just one photograph can mean to people who have never had one of themselves. although many people claim they want to escape this mess of technology in more delevoped countries, we often tend to take the beauty of some technology, such as photography, for granted.

Almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.””

- Steve Jobs, 2005

Photo

NBC Cancels 'The Playboy Club' - Hey Apple, I want my money back!

Just read today that NBC already cancelled “The Playboy Club”. And I just started watching it via iTunes. Thought it’s a funny (and sexy) drama - however not at all what you would expect just by judging from the name.

After wasting dollars and hours of time on getting into a storyline it’s kind of disappointing.. oh well - happened to me the last time when The Defenders were cancelled (I loved the show!). We’ll see what show will be next.

Maybe it would have made more sense on HBO. Or in a country where the actual Playboy magazine doesn’t come in a brown bag..

Steve Jobs delivering his commencement speech to the graduates...

Steve Jobs delivering his commencement speech to the graduates of Stanford University in 2005.
